The Whole Package

At church I felt spiritual

I sang songs, listened to bible readings

Took part in communion and listened to the sermon

After the church service at morning tea

I spoke to other Christians

And explored their Christianity

The church service and the morning tea

Satisfied me spiritually

But it didn’t satisfy me physically and mentally

So I walked amongst nature

I sat next to a tree and wrote poems

The wind whistled though the trees

And I looked at the flowing river

Then I continued walking down the track

Then I walked home

I prayed and listened to what God had to say

I thanked God for everything

I meditated and relaxed

My physical and mental state had been met

I had come to God with the whole package
