Prayer

I sat on the chair and relaxed

Feet firmly on the ground

I closed my eyes and listened to music

God the great master was waiting for me

I told him I was sorry for all the mistakes I had made

He said it was OK, he forgave all my sins

He said to stay in the moment, like now

I said I was drifting aimlessly through life

He said to listen to him and he will guide me through life

He said mistakes will be made by me, he is the only one who’s perfect

I was to be patient and resilient and use the many traits I had

And to use my god given talents

I was to put others first ie be unselfish

And to care for the needy and those well off

If I pray a lot my needs will be met

And to be a good Christian I must go to church regularly

I wound things up and said thankyou

For all the advice he gave

And said how wonderful prayer is

For a Christian like me
